Ah, the elusive beautyblender! Hither comes one in its pristine land… I'm hoping it'll stay in my possession for longer than a calendar week (or a month! — cartel to dream), because I'm not the just ane in Novato obsessed with these marvelous makeup sponges. All of the piddling animals I alive with — a.1000.a. "the boarders," a.1000.a Tabs the Cat and Connor Claire the Coywolf — are obsessed with them, too. They hibernate them, i (the furry i) bites them, and they rip them autonomously with their claws.
If information technology happens once again, at least I won't have to go far to discover a new one, because now they're also bachelor at MAC.

This black one is the $20 beautyblender pro, and it's my favorite. The blackness keeps it looking cleaner longer, compared to the iconic O.G. pinkish beautyblender, which is too $20 and also available at MAC. They both piece of work merely as well as the other, simply the pinkish one, which is SUPER CUTE, shows off every single product that has ever graced information technology. It looks messy, and I'thousand not about that life.
I certain do beloved the pink ones when they're new, though.
I primarily use mine to employ liquid foundation and concealer, just I have seen people use them for powders and eyeshadow. I utilize the larger end of the sponge to cover big swaths of skin, like my brow and cheeks, and the pointier end for the nooks and crannies, like the inner corner of my center, and the corners around my nose and oral fissure.

Plus, they absorb juuust the right amount, and then I don't feel like I'yard wasting much product when I use them (some makeup sponges are also absorbent, IMO).
Here'southward a trick I use: before I sit down down to utilise my makeup, I moisture my beautyblender with h2o — like really, really soak it. I completely drench the thing! Then, I set it aside and do whatever else I'm going to practise, similar my brows, curl my lashes, face primer, whatever, and then, right earlier I do my foundation or concealer, I spritz it with MAC Fix+ all over to re-moisture it slightly. Then I apply/blend my foundation or tinted moisturizer, BB cream, etc.
The layer of Prepare+ actually helps my face makeup adhere closer to my skin, or something, and the coverage looks even more natural. I think it too adds a lilliputian actress wet, and my combo skin is mostly dry, especially at present that it's wintertime, and every little scrap of moisture helps.
